Main decision
What heat map, coolant, flow, temperatures, and pressure drop define performance?
Review the manufacturing route, required files, quality controls, and delivery expectations before sending drawings.
Product sourcing guide
Cold plate sourcing should begin with the thermal-fluid system, not a channel sketch. Buyers need to provide heat-source locations, power, interface pressure, coolant, inlet temperature, flow range, pressure drop, operating and proof pressure, wetted materials, corrosion strategy, cleanliness, envelope, mounting, and validation requirements. These inputs determine the construction route and evidence required.

Project-specific decision examples
A concentrated heat source requires low interface resistance and controlled flow near the die while mounting loads act on the plate. Fine channels increase performance and contamination sensitivity.
Define heat map, interface load, flatness, flow, pressure drop, filtration, and cleaning before choosing channel and joining technology.
Several power modules, capacitors, connectors, and mounting points share a broad plate exposed to vibration and thermal cycling. Flow uniformity and post-join flatness both matter.
Map heat zones and structural loads, then validate joining, flatness, pressure, leak, coolant compatibility, and assembly torque on representative samples.
A large thin plate cools modules across a wide area while managing mass, pressure drop, crush protection, and pack integration. High machining content may be uneconomic at volume.
Compare machined, stamped, extruded, tube, and brazed routes using thermal need, envelope, volume, durability, and system test requirements.
A plate removes heat from optical or laser components whose alignment depends on thermal and mechanical stability. Port placement and coolant routing compete with precision mounting datums.
Control thermal faces, optical datums, channel clearance, ports, joining movement, and post-join machining in one datum and test plan.
Product to delivery chain
Confirm supplier fit, process fit, material or application fit, quality risk, quote inputs, and delivery expectations before committing to production.
Define Custom Aluminum Liquid Cold Plates geometry, function, quantity, and application.
Review whether CNC Machining, Vacuum Brazing, Friction Stir Welding, or Tube-in-Plate Fabrication fits the part geometry, tolerance, material, and volume.
Confirm tolerance, finish, inspection notes, certification, packaging, and delivery expectations.
Upload files and project details so sales and engineering can review the request and prepare a quotation.
Prototype to production
A practical sourcing project starts with the requirement, confirms manufacturability, reviews samples, prepares the quotation, and then moves toward production and delivery.
Clarify Custom Aluminum Liquid Cold Plates, drawings, application, material, quantity, and target delivery.
Check whether CNC Machining, Vacuum Brazing, Friction Stir Welding, or Tube-in-Plate Fabrication is suitable or whether another process is better.
Confirm quote drivers, tooling or setup, sample needs, inspection notes, and packaging.
Move approved parts into repeatable production, quality inspection, and export delivery.
Visual manufacturing path
Use the image chain to understand how drawings become a reviewed process, an application-ready part, an inspection plan, and protected delivery.
Review CAD, dimensions, material, tolerance, finish, and missing quotation inputs.
Review the machining route, setup and datum plan, tool access, burr control, secondary operations, and inspection evidence before production.
Connect brackets, conductors, glands, and enclosures to energy-storage and outdoor equipment assemblies.
Plan dimensional inspection, critical features, surface checks, and supporting documentation.
Separate finished parts, protect surfaces and metal, label batches, and prepare export packaging.
Manufacturing specifications
Use these specifications to judge process fit, material fit, quality risk, quote inputs, and delivery expectations without relying on broad marketing claims.

Sales and engineering review process fit, material, tolerance, quantity, finish, application, delivery needs, and uploaded files before preparing the quotation.
An early review can use lawful product photos, rough drawings, samples, or BOM files. A firm quotation still depends on controlled technical files, resolved requirements, eligible supplier evidence, and a current written scope.
Typical projects include Processor, GPU, switch, and data-center liquid cold plates, EV battery, inverter, charger, and power-module cooling plates, Laser, sensor, motor-drive, and industrial power cold plates, Tube-in-plate, machined-channel, fin-insert, manifold, and multi-zone plates. Final process selection depends on the drawing, material, quantity, and functional requirements.
Dimensions, flatness, roughness, and port position after all joining and finishing; Leak, proof-pressure, flow, or pressure-drop tests to written conditions; Internal cleanliness, dryness, caps, and protected thermal faces; Material, braze or weld, inspection, and test records as specified. State the required inspection and documentation scope in the RFQ rather than assuming it is included.
Upload drawings, product photos, material requirements, quantity, target price, tolerance, finish, and delivery expectations so sales can review the project.
